Presenting our 2021-2022 Directors
Artistic Director: Renée Haines
Renée Haines is delighted to return for her second season as Director, after playing Aline (The Sorcerer, 2016) and appearing in other venues for many years.
At Connecticut Gilbert & Sullivan Society: President Emeritus; Yum Yum (The Mikado); Phyllis (Iolanthe);
Casilda (The Gondoliers); Elsie Maynard (The Yeomen of the Guard); Plaintiff (Trial by Jury); Rose Maybud (Ruddigore).
She has been a soprano soloist with the Greater Hartford Opera Ensemble / Greater Meriden Concert Chorale, and
a member of the Yale SYGQ Chorus (Carnegie Hall/Woolsey Hall performances).
She is an honors graduate of the Hartt School of Music with a degree in Opera Performance.
Musical Director: Nathaniel Baker
Music Director Nathaniel Baker has recently served as Music Director for West Hartford Community Theater and Connecticut Theatre Company, among other groups. He is the Chorus Master for Connecticut Lyric Opera, and a past Music Director of the Choral Club of Hartford.
Nathaniel has a Master's degree in Piano Performance from the University of Connecticut; his undergraduate degree is from the Hartt School.
